Hastar | God of Greed | Hastar mythology

 


Who is Hastar:

Hastar is an Indian mythological and folklore God. The first appearance of Hastar introduced in the movie of Tumbaad. According to this mythology and folklore that Goddess of prosperity created 16 core gods and goddess . The earth was her womb and from there she created her children. Among them Hastar was his first son and eldest among them. Hastar was also loved by Goddess of prosperity more than his other siblings. Hastar was haughty and greedy from childhood. And the love of his mother led Hastar greedy . Thus he wanted to take  all the golds and grains of her mother. Hastar took all the golds and wanted to take the grains ,So all the 16cr siblings of Hastar was one side and he himself was in one side. And they defeated Hastar and they thought to destroy. But Goddess of prosperity was loving Hastar more than her any children, so she took Hastar inside her womb means Patala in Hinduism. And condition was no mankind will worship Hastar and from ancient texts Hastar's name will be vanished. Gods agreed to this and they got the remaining gold and grains from their mother. And Hastar started living in her mother's womb. 

Greek Mythology:

In Greek mythology it is same like Hastar. In that Gaya goddess of all titans . And Hastar as Cronus and cronus imprisoned and sent hell to all his brothers . Zeus his son killed Cronus. Although Hastar wasn't killed . 

There is a village named Tumbaad in Maharasta in India and in there is the first and last temple of Hastar is still present. They believe that Hastar lives there and is waiting for someone who will free him. After all this is myth and folklore by local people.
